Rationale

The establishment of the Research, Development, and Utilization Center (ReDUCe) propelled the research and development capabilities of the institute to respond to the ever-growing demands of the present and future challenges as it will provide a proper venue for formulating facts and conclusions based on science to theories, issues, and concerns. All studies will be done in close collaboration with the faculty members, concerned students and non-teaching personnel.

ReDUCe publishes annually original research papers under the Bachelor of Science Degree Programs in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Entrepreneurship.

Mission

To enable the research, development, and utilization capabilities of the institution by providing platforms for the researchers in the publication of peer-reviewed, open-access, multidisciplinary journal.


Organizational Structure




Research Ethics Committee

The committee plays a critical role in upholding ethical standards in research. It will ensure that all research are conducted with integrity, respect for individuals, and adherence to regulatory requirements.


AICSians Research Journal

The AICSians Research Journal, as the official institutional-based journal, showcases research papers that are aligned with the vision, mission and goals of the institution within the context of Philippine Republic Act No. 7722, which is known as the “Higher Education Act of 1994” that mandate the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to perform functions relative to research (Section 8, RA 7722).

In addition, it adheres to the general policies and standards for higher education research under the National Higher Education Research Agenda 2 (NHERA-2), Annex A, Guidelines, Article 3, The Thesis/Capstone Project, Section 9 of CHED Memorandum Order 25, series of 2015, and other memoranda and circulars advocating for the following general principles:

1. Research is the ultimate expression of an individual’s innovative and creative powers. The higher education sector shall ensure that the academic environment nurtures and supports Filipino research talents.

2. Research thrives in an environment characterized by a free flow of information, honest and analytical exchange of ideas, and supportive policy and administrative structures. Higher education policies shall enhance the institutions and the individual’s capacity to conduct independent, collaborative, and productive research.

3. Research is one of the main functions of the higher education sector. Universities, in particular, are expected to lead in the conduct of discipline-based, policy-oriented, technology-directed, and innovative/creative research that is locally responsive and globally competitive./strong>

ReDUCe oversees the institute’s research and development capabilities to respond to the ever-growing demands of the present and future, and provides the proper venue for in-house publication. All research studies are done in collaboration with the management, faculty members, concerned students, and other stakeholders.
